Leigh Anne Kline is an 10th grader at Cape Henry Collegiate in Virginia Beach, VA. She has been riding for 10 years, the last 8 with Chris. She competes in Small Juniors on her 14 year old Thoroughbred, At Last (better known as "Teak"). Chris paired Leigh Anne up with "At Last" 2 years ago after finding him in Tennessee....but Leigh Anne likes to believe the horse really found her. The winning pair had a great 2009 show year, winning the high point championships for Children's Hunter 14 and Under in 4 states; Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Maryland. They were also Circuit Champions at HITS Culpeper in Childrens 14 and Under. Leigh Anne and At Last were USEF Zone 3 Champions in Childrens for 2009 and At Last was chosen as USEF Zone 3 "Horse of the Year". The duo also competed at the Washington International Horse Show in 2009, winning a 3rd in the WIHS Childrens Hunter Classic Finals.
Besides riding, Leigh Anne also sings and was selected for the 2010 Virginia All-state Chorus.
Leigh Anne's most familiar 'Chris phrase' is, "STOP singing!!!" One of the things she has learned from Chris is to change her ride from horse to horse.....since she also rides her brother's Hannovarian, Paramatta, for him while he's at college. One of Leigh Anne's goals is to qualify for Devon.
